Giving a HELPING HAND where it’s needed most

We're donating £100,000 to charity FareShare to help them get food to people who need it. We also work with the Trussell and other local charities to support a network of foodbanks across the country, helping them to provide emergency food and practical support to people facing hardship.

You can help by donating items when you shop in store – just pay for them, then pop them in the food donation point on your way out.

Non-perishable groceries such as canned meat and fish, canned vegetables, long life milk and tea or coffee are welcome. Take a look at the list on the food donation points for ideas.

How we're supporting communities

Pre-filled BAGS

In selected Waitrose shops, we’ve made it easier to give the things foodbanks need most by filling bags ready to donate. Simply pick up a pre-filled bag from the display in store, pay for it along with the rest of your shopping and pop it in the food donation point on your way out.

Too GOOD to waste

Since 2017, we’ve partnered with food charity FareShare to redistribute surplus food from our shops. We’ve now provided the equivalent of 10 million meals and counting to charities across the UK.
