WHO CAN ENTER

This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom excluding Northen Ireland aged 18 years or over, except for employees of Sawday’s, Canopy & Stars, Paws & Stay, their families, it's agents, third parties or anyone else professionally connected with this competition. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. The Promoter may require any information that we consider reasonably necessary in order to verify your eligibility.

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this competition. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence. 

No purchase necessary. There is no charge to submit an entry via the website at www.waitrose.com/ecom/content/competitions.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be received between 00:01 on 07/06/23 and 23:59 on 04/07/23 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, simply go to www.waitrose.com/ecom/content/competitions, follow the competition instructions at the top of the page and submit your details and other required information using the online form provided.

There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries submitted directly or with the use of any automated systems will not be entered into the draw.

No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in transit, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 

Those entries not in accordance with the rules will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the competition; any entry containing false, incomplete or misleading information will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the competition. 

THE PRIZE

Waitrose & Sawday’s have agreed to run a 4-week long prize draw to offer customers a chance to win one of 5 £1,000 vouchers to spend on a UK staycation on any eligible Sawday’s properties.

Prize(s):The Prize is a Sawday’s voucher/credit to be spent up to the value of £1,000 (1,000 pounds sterling). 

There are 5 x prizes available. There will be 5 x Winners each winning £1,000 Sawday’s credit, paid direct to your chosen Sawday’s owner(s). There is no cash alternative.

This can be redeemed against a single stay or multiple stays.

The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

The credit of £1,000 towards a Sawday’s break can be redeemed against a single stay or multiple stays. It is subject to availability at time of booking and the stay(s) must be booked and taken by 31.12.24.

Funding: Sawday’s will fully fund the 5 prizes.

Prizes are subject to availability. They are non-transferable, non-refundable and, unless stated, there are no cash alternatives. In the event that the prize is out of stock or if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another item, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. 

WINNER SELECTION

All valid and, if applicable, correct entries received by the Closing Date will be entered into a prize draw, and the winners will be picked at random.  

Waitrose will collate all entrants and is responsible for selecting winners at the end of the prize draw period via a digital randomiser.

Winners selected by Waitrose on Tuesday 1st August at 11.59pm 

Waitrose will then contact the winner(s) via email and cc in marketing@sawdays.co.uk who will then instruct the winner(s) on the booking and prize redemption process.

By entering the Prize Draw you agree that your name and email address can be shared with Sawday’s for the purpose of fulfilling the Prize should you be a Winner - your data will be retained and covered by the Sawday’s privacy policy.

The Prize is strictly non-transferable, non-negotiable and may not be replaced or refunded. There is no cash alternative. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, promotions, or discounts. Any further costs, such as but not limited to, additional nights, food and drink, travel to and from the destination and travel insurance are not included and are the responsibility of the Winner(s). Standard terms and conditions of individual accommodations apply. If the Winner(s) does/do not accept any element of the Prize, the Promoter is not obliged to provide the Winner(s) with a substitute Prize. 

The Promoter will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury which results directly or indirectly from this Promotion, except that which cannot be excluded by law. 

WINNER NOTIFICATION

The Winner(s) will be notified by email as soon as practicable after the Prize Draw, using the contact details provided with the Prize Draw entry. The winner(s) will be contacted via email by Waitrose, who will cc in marketing@sawdays.co.uk. The winner(s) will be instructed to reply to the email to accept the prize. The Winner(s) will be required to respond within 30 days of notification (unless otherwise stated) confirming their acceptance of the Prize. Sawday’s will then follow up to confirm that they will be in touch with booking and prize redemption instructions.  In the event Winner(s) do not respond to communications within this period or if any Prize is declined, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that Winner and draw another Winner(s). 

Once the winners’ details have been passed on to Sawday’s they will be instructed by email to:

Browse the Sawday’s website and decide which property or properties they would like to use the vouchers on.

The winner can then check rates and dates and book their stay by contacting the owner direct using the telephone number displayed on the owner’s page on the Sawday’s website or, clicking through to their own website or to make an enquiry from the property page on the Sawday’s website, informing the owner that Sawday’s will be contributing towards the cost of their stay. 

The winner will then contact Sawday’s via email (marketing@sawdays.co.uk) to confirm their choice of property and date, and Sawday’s will then confirm with the owner that they will be contributing towards the stay, and arrange for the owner to invoice Sawday’s for their contribution.

The booking is made direct between the winner and the owner with the winner paying any difference if they have decided to spend more than the voucher value.

If the winner has not spent the entire value of the voucher on the initial stay booked, the same process will follow for the next stay booked using the balance of the voucher.

DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY

By entering the competition, you understand that for the purposes of administering the competition and prize fulfilment, it is necessary for the Promoter and the following third parties, on our behalf, to hold and process your personal data:

If you have opted-in to receiving further information from the Promoter and/or its agents or suppliers, you agree that the relevant party may use and store these details to provide further information about their products and services (in accordance with the privacy policy of the relevant entity).

If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes, for no further consideration. If you object to us sharing your information please advise accordingly at customerloyalty@waitrose.co.uk. If you are the Winner, you also acknowledge that your details may be required to be provided to the Advertising Standards Agency 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

If you have opted-in to receive further information or marketing from any of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers involved in the administration of this competition, you understand and accept that the relevant third party will be solely responsible for any processing of your personal data for these purposes, that such processing will be governed by terms of that third party’s privacy policy and that the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in association with any such data processing for these purposes.  

GENERAL

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the competition into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the competition.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

This competition and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
