1. APPLE CIDER

You’ll need 250ml – medium-sweet cider works well here. The trick is to heat it gently, with only an occasional bubble breaking the surface.

2. CHAI TEA

Pour 200ml boiled water over 1 chai tea bag and add both to the cider to bring a sweet and spicy flavour to the drink. Warm gently for 5 minutes.

3. BROWN SUGAR

For an extra kick of sweetness, dissolve 1 tsp brown sugar or a brown sugar cube into the mix. Pour into a glass cup and serve with a strip of orange peel, if you have any.

Turn it into a mocktail...

Replace the cider with sparkling apple juice.
