Cooking instructions

General

Ensure meat is thoroughly cooked. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked, or wash between uses. Wash hands after handling raw meat. Unwrap and dispose of packaging carefully.

Oven cook

From Chilled

Preheat oven. Remove outer packaging and place the sachet to one side. Place joint on to a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and then loosely cover the joint with tin foil. Place into the centre of preheated oven. 15 minutes before the end of the cooking remove from oven, remove the strings from the joint, remove cooking liquor and pour the glaze sachet over the gammon. Return to the oven uncovered for 15 minutes. Leave gammon to rest for 10 minutes before carving (Time 30 mins per 500g + 30 mins, Oven: 190°C, Fan: 170°C, Gas: Gas Mark 5)
