Our No.1 Slow Cooked Steak & Red Wine Pie is filled with British beef cooked for 8 hours so it's melt-in-the-mouth tender, smoky bacon lardons and Portobello mushrooms in a rich red wine gravy. We stir the cooking juices from the beef into the gravy, with proper beef stock, French wine and onions sautéed in beef dripping for extra flavour. It's all baked in crumbly shortcrust pastry with a buttery puff pastry top, expertly rolled and folded for crisp, flaky layers, and sprinkled with poppy seeds.
