Christmas Entertaining

We offer a range of delivery and collection dates over the festive period to allow you to celebrate with the freshest food on the day that you choose – not just 25 December.

If you are planning to serve your items on Christmas Day, we recommend checking that what you have chosen will have a suitable use by date for your selected delivery or collection date. We will advise only where this could be an issue in the description of individual items.

All of our Christmas turkeys are guaranteed to last until Boxing Day.

Online is the quickest and easiest way to order your Entertaining items at your leisure. If you need extra support or cannot order online, call us on 0800 188 884. Please ensure you have our Christmas Entertaining brochure to hand (which you can pick up in store) or access to our website while on the phone. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am-10pm, Saturday 8am-9pm or Sunday 9am-7pm.

Delivery: Your order can be delivered (subject to a minimum spend of £40 and a delivery charge) in Christmas slots from 20-24 December.

Free collection: Alternatively, you can collect your Entertaining order from a Waitrose store of your choice. There is no minimum spend for collection. You or a family member, friend or volunteer over the age of 18 can collect your order from your chosen Waitrose shop. The person collecting the order must have the order confirmation number and a form of ID with them (either a debit or credit card, passport, driving licence or utility bill).

Available delivery or collection dates will depend on the items you choose. 

• All of the items for a roast, including turkey, pigs in blankets and sides, will be available from 20 December.
• Chilled desserts will also be available from 20 December.
• Shellfish, vegetarian and vegan options will be available from 22 December.

Other seasonal items will be available for longer periods to cater for wider festive celebrations:

• Christmas cakes, buffet and party food, including canapés, will be available from 5 December. 

Each item shows a notice period with the time we need to prepare it. You'll be able to choose a delivery or collection date corresponding with the longest time so everything is available at the same time.

You can add and remove items from your order up to midnight on 15 December for delivery or collection between 20-24 December.

Our Entertaining items are only available online, as they are typically a larger serving size than we would sell in store. Many items, however, will have an equivalent product that will appear in your nearest Waitrose as Christmas approaches.  

We recommend pre-ordering online now to avoid disappointment. You can choose free collection and complete the rest of your Christmas shop in store.
